Collaboration with Luci Radecka (Upcoming Album – 2025) Strachil and Slovakian singer Luci Radecka are currently working on their first album, set for release in September 2025. In this project, he incorporates acoustic influences from Joe Pass, Sylvain Luc, and Romero Lubambo, using nylon-string guitar to complement Radecka’s expressive vocals. The album blends jazz, Brazilian rhythms, and soulful melodies, creating an intimate and textured musical experience.

VGJ – Varhan Orchestrovič Bauer Fusion Jazz Band & OFO (Okamžitý Filmový Orchestr) Strachil plays with both VGJ and the Varhans Orchestra—OFO (Okamžitý Filmový Orchestr), expanding his range across jazz fusion, blues, and bebop. His playing in VGJ is shaped by the deep grooves of Weather Report and the harmonic complexity of Scofield and Stern. He brings electrifying solos, rapid bebop phrasing, and rich blues inflections into the ensemble’s eclectic sound. With OFO, he collaborates in a cinematic setting, adding jazz elements to orchestral compositions, further showcasing his adaptability across different musical landscapes.

Mr. Loco & Filip Flusser – Ska Reggae Balkan Band (2020-2023) From 2020 to 2023, Strachil performed and toured with Mr. Loco, a ska, reggae, and Balkan band, alongside Filip Flusser. His guitar infused energetic rhythms with dynamic fusion elements, bridging jazz sensibilities with danceable grooves. His contributions helped merge Balkan folk influences with reggae’s laid-back feel, creating a vibrant and eclectic sound that resonated in live performances.

Fusion Trio – “X Ground” (2017-2020) From 2017 to 2020, Strachil collaborated with Czech musicians Mojmir and Tomaš in X Ground, a fusion trio blending Bulgarian rhythms and folk elements with jazz improvisation. The group explored complex time signatures and rich harmonic textures, with Strachil’s guitar playing a central role in shaping the trio’s unique identity. Their music merged folk traditions with modern jazz, resulting in a rhythmically adventurous and deeply expressive sound.

Solo Acoustic Guitar Project – Strachil’s latest musical endeavor focuses on solo acoustic guitar, inspired by chord melody masters such as Joe Pass, Sylvain Luc, and Keith Jarrett’s pianistic approach to harmony. He explores jazz standards while incorporating Bulgarian folk rhythms like 7/8, 9/8, and 11/8. His playing blends fusion, bebop, and blues, treating the guitar as an orchestral instrument—simultaneously handling bass, rhythm, harmony, and melody. This project is both a technical and artistic challenge, pushing the boundaries of solo guitar performance.
